Starting June 6th and ending on July 11th, on Tuesdays, we will have Storytime with a Make & Take craft at 6 pm on the library lawn. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll move into the library.
If you can't make it Tuesdays at 6, don't worry! Come to the library during library hours to pick up the week's craft supplies. Otherwise, bring a blanket or chair and join us Tuesdays at 6 pm!
If you are an Oneida resident, call the library to register your pre-K to 6th grade student. Registration flyers will be available in ROWVA Elementary take home folders in the last full week of school, or at the library. Check our Facebook page for previews of weekly stories and more details.
Participants who reach their weekly goals will earn a chance to pick something to express their own unique voice from our treasure box. Participants will receive a goody bag at the end of the program and the chance to attend a free movie at AMC Theater in Galesburg! Each week's Storytime attendees will have their names entered into a drawing at the end of the program for baseball tickets, an Orpheum voucher, and two Kindles!

Find Your Voice!
Our voices have power. We use our voices to share stories, express ourselves, and spark change. Our voices include not only the sounds we make, but the words we write, the art we create, the movements we perform, and the actions we take each day to impact our world.
It's proven that reading over the summer can help kids avoid the summer learning slide. Expand their world through the library! Help them practice their reading and comprehension skills in a fun and engaging way.
Our Storytimes together this summer will explore books about finding our own unique ways of expressing ourselves, through the arts, sports, and beyond. The crafts and activities we will do help support creative expression.
